This was the first hotel and hunting lodge built in the Glacier National Park, in 1895.
The hotel is just as stunning today as it was then.
The hotel is decorated with animal trophies, and huge logs support the lobby’s high ceiling.
Lake McDonald complex has 100 rooms in the main lodge with private cabins and a Motor Inn.
Room rates in the lodge started at $398, I was glad we had an RV at the campground near by.
